Fall Field Trips

Last week we hosted three preschool classes and from Medina Weekday Preschool along with their parents and oh, how much fun we had!

We’ve held informal tours with our customers in the past, but this was the first time we accepted an inquiry to host fall field trips and based on the positive feedback we received, we know these trips won’t be our last.

During the field trips, Jake our horitculturist gave a tour of all three of our greenhouses, explained hydroponic systems in controlled environment agriculture, along with more typical farming in soil under high tunnels. We let our guests sample our produce and even let each student start their own microgreens, which they were encouraged to care for at home before enjoying a couple of weeks down the road.

Thank you to the teachers at Medina Weekday Preschool that helped arrange these field trips!

If you are a teacher at a preschool, elementary, middle, or high school in Medina or the surrounding townships and would be interested in arranging a similar field trip for your classroom, science club, etc., please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you!
